Nurses United is not affiliated to any one specific union however we encourage all our members to join one.

As an organisation we have been leading on the #NHSPay15 campaign with the Facebook group ‘NHS workers say No‘. While Nurses United represents nurses, the #NHSPay15 campaign fights for a pay rise for all NHS workers. Our members and supporters decided to approach the candidates for the UNISON General Secretary elections to see where they stood on 4 questions:

  1. Do you support a claim for a 15% pay rise within the NHS?
  2. Have you attended or spoken at an #NHSPay15 rally and if so which one and when?
  3. Do you think that UNISON should be organising its members on the ground to take action for a pay rise in April 2021?
  4. Do you think that UNISON should be pursuing a ballot for industrial action if we do not receive a double-digit percentage pay rise in April 2021?

The full answers from the candidates are published below. Have a read and see who you think is the best candidate?
